What is Dantoon and why should I use it?
Dantoon is a place where you can say anything you want to say. From a couple of words about how you’re doing today or what happened to you last night, to a feature-length discussion of subliminal sex messages in movies, here’s your chance to be heard. Say what you want, and share it immediately with the people in your network. You can also forward posts, comment on them, vote on them (the front page constantly updates with the most popular content from all over the network), and even publish posts to other platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
In addition to posting, you can search for the content and the people that match your own mindset. The idea is to make sharing your mind on a large scale as quick and easy as email, and to use the entire network as the world's first search engine for thoughts.
How can I sign up for Dantoon?
You can sign up by clicking on the “Sign Up” button on www.dantoon.com, but you currently need a Harvard email address to do this. People without Harvard email addresses must wait to receive an invitation from a current member.
Is Dantoon free?
Yes, of course! Dantoon is completely free.

What is “All Dantoon?”
At any given moment, the most popular posts written on Dantoon are displayed in the “All Dantoon” tab, which is like the front page of the Dantoon community. If one of your posts makes it to this front page, you become recognized throughout the site as a “front page writer,” and your post will be marked as a “front page post” forever.
What are Dantoon types?
Our “If you ruled the world” quiz evaluates the things you value in life (it’s more of a value quiz than a personality quiz). Once you take it, you are assigned one of 16 Dantoon types, named using combinations of letters from the Greek and Roman alphabets. People who share your Dantoon type may not have given the exact same answers as yours, but their overall performance showed that they value the same things as you.
So, how are these cryptic types to be used? Let's assume the test determines you're a Kappa M. According to the logic of the algorithm, anyone else who's a Kappa M is likely to share your overall values. There are currently 256 answer choice combinations that could make you a Kappa M, so it's not about answering the same questions in exactly the same way. But two Kappa Ms will, in aggregate, have prioritized the same types of things when faced with the hypothetical situation of ruling the world.
So what does this mean? If you, as a Kappa M, find something interesting, commendable, or "valuable" in any way, chances are that other Kappa Ms would agree. The most obvious application is in search: you can filter by type to find posts written by people who think like you. Let's say, for example, your mom is Tau E (and moms on Dantoon are awesome!). You want to know if she would like a specific movie, so you can search for reviews of it on Dantoon, and filter the results by Tau E authors.
One last look behind the curtain: the colors associated with the types follow the spectrum of the types themselves. So TE and ZF, for example, are both pale shades of green, which means a TE and a ZF are very similar in their mindsets. Pretty awesome? I think so.
How do I find people on the website and subscribe to their posts?
